For four years in the early 1980s, I worked as a Labor Representative for Ford Motor Company, a Labor Relations Manager at Arcata Graphics, and a Personnel Administrator at Moog, Inc. From 1986 until I retired from legal advocacy in 2007, I was an attorney with three law firms --Morgan Lewis; Whelan, DeMaio & Kiszkiel; and Ogletree Deakins -- representing public and private employers. During my experience as an advocate, I negotiated over fifty collective bargaining agreements and advised in negotiating and drafting many others for clients including the University of Florida, the city of West Palm Beach, Palm Beach County, Palm Beach county Sheriff's Office, the city of Key West, Arnold Packaging and Ohio Medical Corporation. I also represented clients in approximately 100 arbitrations, labor board proceedings, and civil service matters.
